I started this Blog to help me in my journey to get thinner and healthier. It helps me keep accountable with my exercise. I didn't get overweight over night and I am working hard to get back in shape. My friend told me that It's not a Sprint but that it's a Marathon!!

I've been shopping...

I wasnt planning on shopping. I stopped at the mall for an entirely different reason. Where I had parked I just HAD to walk through Penny's. They were having a 50% off sale so I HAD to take a looksie. Lol. I wasn't sure on sizes after loosing 39 lbs. After trying on about 15 outfits....here's my Easter dress. Its a X-large.  I'm wearing it with my new brown boots from Christmas seeing that it's still cool here. In the pocket is my matching nail polish lol
 I also found this super cute top...its comfy, soft and its a LARGE!!! Awwwwwww lol
 
I also stopped at the thrift store for another reason and found this pink top that i fell in love with and skirt. The skirt is actually Skorts. I will cut the long sleeves down to regular sleeve length. And.....the pink shirt is a LARGE more awwwwwww. Lol
.
It's been a fun day and this keeps me motivated to keeping on keeping on.

I did it...I did it...

I survived my first ever... week long...7 day long...detox. It was hard but I wasnt really hungry,,,those darn cravings lol I couldn't wait to weight this morning and I lost 9 lbs and 7 inches over all.
1/2 inch under my chest
3 inch in my mid section
2 1/2 inch in stomach and
1 inch in my butt.
and loosing in my fingers cuz my rings are sliding off!! Really? All the TONS of places that I have and it chooses my fingers?? LOL
But I am super excited. I have to be realistic that a few lbs may come back but I am gonna try my hardest not to ever see them again. Ha!
39 down and 51 to go!!!!

I have a bit of trouble with my neck which has been affecting my back so it will alter my exercise a bit. I don't want to mess up what the chiropractor is fixing and Oh I love Chiropractors!!! I joined the YMCA so I will be hitting the pool tomorrow. I love swimming and it always helps me with weight loss. I can tread water forever LOL. Great exercise for me!!

And.....I went to get our taxes done today and got the bad news!! You make more money and by moving to the next tax bracket...you get zapped!! Whats up with that? Anyways...my point is....My tax lady says " Oh you look much thinner..have you been doing something?"
Just MADE my day!!! ALL smiles here today!!!

Tomorrow is my last day of my detox. Its been a hard week. I wasn't really hungry but it was more the cravings. I just went a day at a time. Ha!
I stuck with it and didn't cheat at all. I am anxious to have my weigh in on thursday morning.

Soup anyone?

I have been so bad about posting and I plan on getting back top it. For several weeks...I was busy getting things cleaned and getting ready for my daughter to come and visit. NO..Im not a slob or anything but I was just doing an overall cleaning of cabinets, pantry, closets etc. They all seem to get so messy over the wintertime and actually I got a head start on my spring cleaning too.

On the 15th. I lost about 1 inch. Not much but I'll take it. No weight loss. I just cant figure this all out why Im not loosing weight. My boss told me about this soup diet. It is for 1 week and it just really cleanses and resets your system. It is not meant for a regular diet. He lost 20 lbs so I thought ok, Im gonna try this. It doesnt sound too hard to do.
The soup is carrots, onions, diced tomatoes, celery, garlic cloves, green peppers and cabbage. I added some spices and bullion cubes. It really is pretty good, I dont mind it abit.
Day 1: As much soup as you want along with all the fruits that you want.
Day 2: Same soup with all the veggies that you want. No beans, peas or corn. You get 1 baked potato on day 2.
Day 3: Same soup and fruits and veggies that you want.
Day 4: Same soup with all the Bananas and skim milk that you want. This is suppose to lessen your desire for sweets.
Day 5: Soup at least once that day and 10-20 oz of Beef and up to 6 tomatoes. Drinking 6-8 glasses of water...it washes the uric acid from your body. You can substitute fish or chicken for the beef.
Day 6: Beef and Vegetables- all you want. Leafy green vegetables. Soup once that day
Day 7: Brown rice, veggies and unsweetened fruit juice and soup once that day.

I started today (mon) so I ate soup, soup and more soup lol along with strawberries, grapes, apples, oranges and blueberries. I haven't really felt starving or anything. With watching what I'm eating...I never realized how much a snack here and there.
For instance I fix my grand daughters lunch and she likes pringles so I'd have 3 or 4 chips.
Or getting her a cookie..sure I'll have one
Or when I fix my husbands lunch with rolls...I'd tear off a piece of roll.
This could be why my weight loss is slow
Ive got my veggies ready for tomorrow. Ive got green beans, Zucchini, squash, lettuce, tomatoes and carrots.

But before I started...I figured I better eat up LOL
So here was my late night snack right before midnight. Ha!
I will know next Wed how I did. Then I can hit exercising again after I am through with this week. I did join the Y to go swimming so I will enjoy that. This is just SOOOooooo HARD!! It went on much easier than coming off. Ha!

An oh my daughter came last week and left last night. We were very busy and had a house load of grand kids and  I did tons of cooking for everyone that came over for dinners each night.We had a giant family b-day party for about 7 people, we went to a movie, and just running around and hanging out together. It was a fun week and I always hate to see them go home.

Guess what's for breakfast.

This is for Carol. I'm still into my oatmeal pancakes and its so much fun coming up with new varieties.
Today's is......Pumpkin/walnut. And no pumpkin is complete without a squirt of whip cream. (15 cal.). It was delicious Carol and i had one for you too....lol
Last week i found exercises to do for double chins and to help get rid of chubby cheeks. I am American Indian so i will have some cheek action going on. Its only been 4 days but it looks slimmer.
A HUGE difference from this.....
Im so excited and looking forward to a great week ahead.

March 1st weigh in

This is what i did to the scale. I shot it!!!!
Because it said i was up 3 lbs and lost 1 1/2 inches. I have been working hard and Eating good. I just don't get it. Ha.
I will no longer weigh cuz it gets me down
I am just measuring inches.
The scale can say what it wants but.....pictures speak loud and clear.
Side view. There was no way that it would have ever buttoned before.
