I started this Blog to help me in my journey to get thinner and healthier. It helps me keep accountable with my exercise. I didn't get overweight over night and I am working hard to get back in shape. My friend told me that It's not a Sprint but that it's a Marathon!!

Estes Park

While we're in colorado we took a jeep tour at Evans Park. It was all cool until.......
At 10,000 he stops the jeep for a little hike. WHAT!!! This is suppose to be a ride. Lol. Now me and hike dont go together....like oil and water lol. He says dont worry it's only about 1/3 of a mile. So off we go. Downhill is going ok. There's this pretty waterfall at the Bottom.
Then comes the part I've been dreading......going back UPHILL.  And it was a killer.....at the high altitude
Once we got on top the views were phenomenal.
But i survived to tell about it lol. It gave me a good workout and gave me my steps. I've trying ready hard to keep my calories down and avoiding ice cream cones.....(Carol ) (insert giggle)
I've been a bit over calories but still burning more than I'm eating.

Colorado vacation

We left for colorado this past weekend. Colorado has a special spot in my heart. I grew up in colorado,  met my husband, married and had 2 kids Born there. So...we love to visit.
But getting ready is always busy.

Low Carb Pizza

This is a GREAT low carb pizza and it taste spectacular....you'll love it and probably never go back to crust again. You need 1 8oz cream cheese..(I get light),  2 eggs and a some grated Parmesan cheese.
Mix it all up and put a greased pan or pizza pan. Bake at 350 for 25 min
After it has baked, take it out add your pizza sauce, toppings, mozzarella cheese on and put in back in just till the Mozzarella cheese melts. We had sausage but you could do veggies or a taco pizza.
It is delicious. Try it and let me know what you think.
I had a pretty good day today with my steps.

Weigh in day-July 15

The 1st and the 15th are my weigh in days. I have been very anxious for this weigh in day because I have been working so hard and sticking right to my calories.
Some days scales are our friends....
and....some days they are not!!!
Well.....today the darn scale was NOT my friend. Sadly it said that I only lost 1 stinking lb. Frustrating...yes... and usually this is a time that I would say Heck with it!! But....I'm too determined to give up now. I've worked so hard so far to give up and I really want to get to my goal to be thin and healthy. I can tell that I have lost weight and I took measurements a month ago so I got those out. I measured from top to bottom. Here's my progress:
Head around forehead-- 0
Head around cheeks-- 1/4 in
Neck --1/2 in
Chest --1 1/4 in
Under chest --1 1/2 in
Midsection --1/2 in
Waist --1 1/2 in
Hip--1 1/2 in
Thigh --1 1/2 in
Leg --2 1/2 in
Ankle --1/4 in
Arm --0
Wrist --1/4 in
So....I guess I cant really complain. I am seeing progress. All I can say is.........

Clothes shopping

I have really been working on exercising and getting in my steps. I use these 2 videos. They are old as dirt but I love them. I alternate each week, so that my body doesnt get used to the same old thing.

We are going to be on vacation pretty soon and I needed a new swim suit and we all HATE to buy that dreaded swimsuit right? This time I went with Swim shorts and a tank top. I think it looks pretty good and it fits well too.
While I was there, I just HAD to buy a couple other shirts-it just wouldn't be right not too!!!  I couldn't believe it but one was a large and one was a medium!! yay!! I'm totally excited and it makes me keep on keeping on!!

My new fitbit

I just got my Fitbit over the weekend and I LOVE it. It is really helpful to get the information that I need.
 My goal has been 8K steps a day and most of the time I can do that.
Tuesday was truck day and I had about 7,000 steps in by 10:00 am. I was up at 2am to go to work so I snoozed in the afternoon. I had a really good workout working the truck.

Today I did 30 min aerobics, 90 jumping jacks, walked the dogs and so its been a good day.
I am keeping 1,200 calories easily and finding that I am so full and cant eat all the food for 1,200 calories. I only ate 1,000 yesterday. I know the body can shut down if there aren't enough calories so Im trying to eat them all.
